Our Inspector Associates conduct field surveys that may include a hazard and condition assessment, an ITV exterior survey, or a variety of interior surveys, including High Value Dwelling and Commercial Lines Surveys. Most surveys require front and rear photos of the dwelling plus photos of all hazards. Inspectors must be able to measure and diagram the property, and accurately calculate square footage of the dwelling on an ITV survey. Commercial surveys often require detailed loss control assessments and recommendations. Certification is required to perform commercial surveys.
Inspectors use digital cameras and must have access to high speed internet in order to efficiently receive and transmit surveys via our Navigator processing platform. Knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, with particular emphasis on MS Word and Excel are necessary. CIS conducts criminal background and MVR checks on all inspector associates. Our Quality Assurance Supervisors are critical to insuring that the surveys completed in the field are consistent with the industry leading quality and time service that CIS has established. Successful candidates for this position will demonstrate the ability to:
Manage the day-to-day performance of the field inspectors in a defined geographic territory
Conduct field quality reviews and assist with desktop quality reviews
Identify any coverage gaps that may develop based on growing survey volume
Hire and Train new inspectors
Conduct ongoing calibration training
Work with dispatch coordinators to ensure turn-time requirements are met
Work with client and account management to ensure service level agreements are met
Interact with client management and agency force in an ongoing educational process
Complete required field management reports

Our File Reviewer & Inside Quality Assurance Coordinators are responsible for reviewing completed surveys within our Navigator Survey Processing Platform. Precise survey tracking and attention to survey detail are critical elements. The QAC will closely examine each survey to ensure that each survey meets CIS Group standards. QAC’s also monitor and track variances in reports submitted by the field personnel and work with the Quality Assurance Manager toward quick resolution. Strong communication skills are required.
